Thank YOU! I've really been looking forward to it! I've always been attracted to bright colors and bold designs, but the inspiration behind my work is heavily influenced by the abundance of waste in our world - we're a throw-away society, and we pitch perfectly beautiful items. I wanted to do something with those items, not only to save them from the landfill, but to show people how beautiful these objects can still be.
2. What are your items made of?
Most of my items are made from upcycled materials - soda tabs, old
t-shirts, nuts and bolts, even discarded plastics.
3. What are your top selling pieces.
My soda tab bracelets with brightly colored t-shirt thread are most definitely my top sellers. Here's a link:https://www.etsy.com/listing/191831188
4. How do you come up with your creations?
Mostly, I come up with my ideas just by tinkering. I fiddle with something until something comes out of it. Every once in awhile, there's a drawing on a piece of scratch paper, but generally, it's all just manipulating the materials until something sticks.
5. Why did you choose Etsy to showcase your lovely items?
I chose Etsy because it brings me a lot of traffic, and because the interface is really easy. I've made a lot of contacts through Etsy, including an introduction to some alternative fashion shows here in Phoenix, Arizona.
6. Where can my readers go to purchase your items?
My store is located on Etsy, at http://www.randallwear.etsy.com. Additionally, I have active Facebook (www.facebook.com/RandallWear), Twitter (www.twitter.com/randallwear), and Pinterest (www.pinterest.com/randallwear) accounts, as well as a weekly blog (www.randallwear.com).
We would like to thank you for taking the time out to do this interview with us. We wish you great luck with your business.
